How to Track
Your Wound
Record trends in wound recovery with our privacy-first tracking system.
What to Track
- Size: Indicates healing progress or complications like reopening.
- Pain: Persistent pain may mean inflammation or infection.
- Itch: A sign of regeneration, but intense itch can mean dryness.
- Moisture: Balance is key; too dry or too wet can delay healing.
- Pus: A little may be normal; excess can indicate infection.
- Scab formation: Tracks progression through healing stages.
- Smell: Foul odor = potential infection; note sudden changes.
- Swelling: Mild is normal early, persistent swelling signals issues.
Using a QR Code for Size Accuracy
You can improve wound measurement accuracy by placing a known-sized QR code in the same photo. The app detects the QR pattern and uses it for scale.
Steps:
-
Use a printed or sticker QR code with a known width (e.g., 2 cm).
- Use the QR code below to calibrate colors under different lighting conditions.
- Measure the QR code using a ruler before use.
- Place the QR code flat and level on the same plane as the wound.
- Make sure both wound and QR code are visible in your photo.
- Use the app camera or upload a photo—tracking begins automatically!
